The mobile blood donation drive of the Municipality of Jordan together with the Philippine Red Cross – Guimaras Chapter, starts to sail again this 2021.

READ ALOUD PROGRAM

USAID, through its ABC+: Advancing Basic Education in the Philippines project, supports the Municipality of Jordan’s Read Aloud Program. Spearheaded by the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), Local Young Development Office (LYDO) – Municipality of Jordan, and Disaster Action Response Team (DART) Jordan. Around 30 parents and their children in each barangay across the municipality participate in Read-Aloud sessions. The program includes educating parents on the importance of reading to children, read-aloud sessions, and provision of school supplies and children’s books from Let’s Read. The LGU-initiated program bridges the gap between the community and access to free and quality children’s storybooks written in their mother tongue. With the Municipality of Jordan’s Read Aloud Program, parents and their children are introduced to the importance of reading and the Let’s Read digital library.

COASTAL CLEAN UP DRIVE

Ang Munisipyo sang Jordan sa pag panguna ni Mayor Ruben Corpuz kaupod ang Sanggunian Kabataan ang nag lunsyar sang Coastal Clean-up Activity sa mga baybayon nga yara nahamtang sa Barangay Lawi kag Sinapsapan, Jordan, Guimaras.Ang nasambit nga aktibidad gn hiwat agud mapalab-ot sa publiko ang importansya sang pag limpyo sa aton kadagatan kag palibot. Upod sa mga nakolekta amo ang mga plastic nga botelya, tetra packs, styrofoam, cellophane, guba nga mga bag, sapatos kag iban pa.
