The Civil Service Comission has finally announced the resumption of the Civil Service Examination scheduled on July 18, 2021. The current LGU Jordan employees who do not have their CSE eligibility are now given an opportunity to have the exam at Jordan National High School, Brgy. Poblacion, Jordan, Guimaras on the said date.

With less than 2 months to prepare, the Human Resource Office headed by Mr. Alberto Villalobos, Jr. formed a team to assist the employees who will soon take the exam. With the approval of Hon. Mayor Ruben B. Corpuz, a weekly review scheduled every 12nn-2pm during Thursdays and Fridays will be conducted.

In the first 2 sessions, 37 exam takers participated in the review; 2 from the JMOEMPC; 1 SB Office; 2 HR Office; 5 Municipal Agri Office; 13 Mayor’s Office; 1 Comelec; 2 Municipal Treasurer’s Office; 4 Municipal Engineering Office; 2 Local Civil Registrar’s Office; 2 Municipal Accounting Office; 2 MSWDO. During the first session, Hon. Corpuz mentioned that he supports this program and will make it an annual activity incorporated in the development plan to help the job-hired and regular employees of LGU Jordan achieve better plantilla positions by availing their CSE certificate. As he envisions that the LGU shall have a strong Human Resource that empowers their employees, it is essential that each of them have exemplary qualifications to back up their experience.

Part of the first session was to assess the stored knowledge of the exam takers, thus they were given a pre test based on the CSE Reviewer. Mr. Villalobos facilitated the exam together with Mr. Micheal Esprago, LCR Staff and Ms. Jesusa Millondaga, MCR. The test was 2-hours long and the participants were eager to get high scores as cash prizes await for the top 3 score leaders.

Ms. Choilyn Au from the Municipal Treasurer’s Office, Ms. Lyndell Galas and Mr. Patrick Aaron Galila both from the Mayor’s Office got top scores during the pre test. After the announcement of winners, the second session started with our guest tutor Ms. Rosalie E. Abrigoso, MCR of LGU San Lorenzo. The session started with a fun energizer that would also qualify as a brain exercise. She discussed basic English Grammar and Vocabulary lesson through a fun lecture.
