The Jordan Educational Assistance Program created last March 2019 through Municipal Ordinance No. 2019-001 with the collaborative effort of the Sangguniang Bayan Members of the Municipality of Jordan.

The JEAP Ordinance mandates for the provision of Educational Assistance to the poor but deserving students of Jordan. This was initially implemented in the school year 2019-2020 with thirty (30) college students and twenty (20) Senior Highschool students as its first batch of beneficiaries.

The main qualified beneficiaries are those students of Jordan, Guimaras who graduated high school with an academic weighted average of at least eighty-five percent (85%) and whose family has no stable income or with an annual income which will not exceed the income level estimates mandated by the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA).

The objective of this program is to promote and uphold the right to education of the poor but deserving students of Jordan, Guimaras by providing financial/educational assistance and to help families living below the poverty line to alleviate them from undesirable plights.

The program can be availed in two ways:

  1. Educational Assistance for tertiary education (P5,000.00 grant)

Requirements:

Must be a Filipino CitizenMust be a resident of Jordan for at least 1 year

85% weighted average

All subjects must be above 80%

No previous scholarship grants or financial assistance received

  1. Educational Assistance for Senior high School (P1,500.00 grant)

Requirements:

Must be a Filipino Citizen

Must be a resident of Jordan for at least 1 year

Currently enrolled in a Senior High Program of Dep Ed

Recommendation from teacher/adviser that he/she belongs to a poor family or no stable source of income

85% weighted average

All subjects must be above 80%

No previous scholarship grants or financial assistance received

Form 138 Photocopy signed by the principal
